"I paint the parts other artists either

tend to ignore or simply do not see!"

Shaukat Khan

Every single painting on this site was created by one man: Shaukat Khan.

Shaukat's pictures are extremely impressive and striking, it's obvious from a glance that he has an intense passion for his subjects, and he has a perfectionist streak that makes every picture a final product of an emotional journey. His style is influenced by a lifelong relationship with botany, a spell as a scientist with the Wellcome foundation and love of the work of artists such as Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet, Picasso and Georgia O'Keefe.

Shaukat's history is equally impressive. His paintings have been celebrated all over the world. He now resides in the Medieval City of Canterbury, in the 'Garden of England'. He has written several books, including Breakfast With Figs and A Canterbury Guide, a book detailing tourist walks around his beloved hometown, accompanied by his own illustrations.
